Our Core Services
Adult Sex Offense–Specific Program:
Forensic Mind Solutions, LLC provides individualized, evidence-based treatment for adult male and female identifying clients who have been court-ordered to participate in sex offense-specific treatment as a condition of supervision, reentry, or CYS expectations. Services are delivered in accordance with the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board (SOAB) Treatment and Management Standards and follow the Containment Model as endorsed by the SOAB. Treatment is guided by the Self-Regulation Model, Relapse Prevention Model, and Risk Needs-Responsivity (RNR) Model, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Good Lives Model (GLM) principles throughout all interventions. These models emphasize skill development in impulse control, cognitive restructuring, trauma processing, arousal management, and emotional regulation to promote accountability and reduce recidivism. Each client begins with a comprehensive intake assessment that includes clinical interviews and relevant risk assessments, and the development of an individualized treatment plan. Therapeutic polygraph examinations are incorporated as deemed clinically necessary to ensure full disclosure, support treatment integrity, and enhance accountability.
Program Goals and Focus:
1. Victim Empathy Development: Clients work to understand the full emotional, psychological, and social impact of their offending behavior on direct and indirect victims.
2. Accountability and Disclosure: Participants must accept full responsibility for all aspects of their offending behavior and demonstrate honesty through complete disclosure.
3. Relapse Prevention and Wellness Planning: Each participant develops a personalized relapse prevention and wellness plan that identifies risk factors, coping strategies, and pro-social supports to mitigate future risk of re-offending.
Youth Support- Juvenile Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB) Program:
Forensic Mind Solutions, LLC (FMS) offers a comprehensive Juvenile Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB) Treatment Program designed for youth ages 12–18 who have engaged in sexually abusive or problematic sexual behaviors. The program promotes accountability, empathy, and healthy development while reducing risk of recidivism and enhancing family reintegration. Treatment is delivered in accordance with Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) Practice Guidelines for Adolescents (2017) and Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board (SOAB) standards, ensuring that services are evidence based, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate. The program follows a structured 9-month (36-week) curriculum, combining psychoeducation, group therapy, and individualized intervention. Services are provided through a blend of individual, group, and family sessions to enhance generalization of skills and caregiver engagement.
Groups are open-ended and run for 90 minutes weekly, with participants progressing into a relapse prevention phase as clinically appropriate. Each session integrates psychoeducation with process-based reflection and skill development. Youth are expected to demonstrate accountability for their behaviors, increased insight, and development of self-regulation skills throughout treatment. Confidentiality, group norms, and expectations are reviewed whenever new participants join. Youth are encouraged to recognize that they are not alone in their experiences of guilt and shame, normalizing treatment engagement, and reinforcing peer accountability.
All participants complete an initial clinical intake and risk assessment, including instruments such as the J-SOAP-II, HARE-YV, and ACEs Questionnaire. Treatment plans are individualized, and progress is tracked through attendance, participation, and observed behavioral changes.

FMS’s trauma-informed Protective Parenting Program helps caregivers involved with the courts or child welfare system build safer, healthier parenting practices. Each participant completes an intake and assessment to guide a 26-week curriculum focused on accountability, insight, and practical application. Clinicians provide monthly updates and court reports to document measurable progress toward family stability and child protection.
Violence Prevention & Batterers Intervention Program:

The Violence Prevention / Batterers Intervention Program offered through Forensic Mind Solutions LLC (FMS) utilizes an evidence-based curriculum rooted in the Duluth Model, an approach approved by the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV). This model emphasizes the connection between power, control, and violence, while focusing on the client’s accountability, belief systems, and learned behavior patterns. The curriculum delivered by Forensic Mind Solutions LLC is grounded in the Duluth and EMERGE Models, both of which are approved by PCADV.
The Batterers Program is designed as a 26-week intervention, consisting of weekly group sessions co-facilitated by two trained professionals with a maximum of 15 participants per group. Individual sessions are provided as deemed necessary in an effort to support progress and growth. The program’s goal is to reduce violent behavior, increase empathy, and enhance relationship and communication skills through structured cognitive behavioral and psychoeducational approaches. FMS also offers a low-risk 12-week program that is determined based on risk level and other criminogenic factors. 30 At intake, each client completes a comprehensive evaluation that includes a risk assessment and review of biopsychosocial information used to guide future individualized treatment planning. Their individualized treatment plan outlines the participant’s goals, identified triggers, and measurable behavioral objectives. Progress is monitored and adjusted throughout the program based on ongoing assessment, attendance, participation, and demonstrated accountability.
Comprehensive Forensic Evaluations:
Forensic Mind Solutions, LLC provides a comprehensive range of forensic, psychological, and parenting evaluations to assist courts, probation departments, Children and Youth Services (CYS), and related agencies in determining the psychological functioning, risk, and treatment needs of referred individuals. Each evaluation is designed to integrate biopsychosocial, cognitive, and risk-related domains to develop a clear, evidence-based formulation and actionable recommendations, depending on the type of evaluation requested or required to answer referral questions.
Evaluations are completed through clinical interviews, psychological testing, records review, and collateral information, resulting in a detailed written report that include diagnostic impressions and individualized recommendations. Assessments may be conducted with adults, adolescents, or families referred for issues related to violence, sexual behavior, parenting capacity, competency, or mental health.
All evaluations are conducted by or under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, ensuring adherence to best practice standards and ethical guidelines established by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board (SOAB). Each report is structured to address both the clinical presentation and practical recommendations that support treatment, reunification, or court-based decision-making.
